sweet sheree.

so i've had a big week.
quit my job.
very happy about that.
got a new job.
even happier.
couldn't wait to come blog about it.

but then something terrible happened at work.
we lost our sweet sheree.
sheree was just starting a new life, at age 53
she had a beautiful grand-daughter 6 wks ago.
she busted her ass in college and was finally "this" close to graduating and getting her x-ray degree.
she always always took time to ask about me, jeff, our plans, our vacation, me. me. me.
it was hard to get her to talk about herself because she was always so interested in me. so concerned aobut my happiness.
she never had a negative word, she was so positive about everything.
she got me.
the whole not having kids thing, she understood it.
she never judged me.
she loved everyone and she treated everyone with kindness.
and now she's gone.
i only got to see her once a week or so at work but when i got my new job one of my first thoughts was that i couldn't wait to tell sheree.
but she went to sleep and never woke up.
i hope someday that i can be half of the beautiful person sheree was.
until then i am grateful to her for always being my friend and showing me even with her death that life is sweet.
and short.

case of the mondays

there's a new episode of hell's kitchen online, calling my name so this is gonna be brief...

i watched revolutionary road this weekend. it's fantastic, and disturbing, and tragic, and beautiful. i'm not sure how i feel about it yet.


i also watched august rush. loved the music. j said it was to predictable.

there is one scene that we thought was quite amusing, it's where the kid is supposed to be playing the guitar all bad ass and they zoom in to his hands and the hands are obviously just a few age spots away from being 60, duh.

i think i may got to cooking school thursday, which is funny b/c i don't cook. j does. mostly i'm just after the swag.

i have a massage this coming saturday, is it bad that i'm already excited?

working on a new online proofing site thanks to my new friend steph.

i had the yummiest grilled scallops last night, i think they're my new favorite food.

vacation countdown has begun. only 16 working days left! that's major!
